Process and Art Creation Extended

Creativity is the act of learning something new. In this two-week extended course, go beyond exploring the creative process and begin to apply that knowledge into practice through a Learn-Apply format. The Learn section of this extended course explores the creative process and how to support the development of creativity in young children. Process art versus product art: What is the difference, and why does it matter? Learn strategies to support process art experiences for young children and use children’s artwork. Then in the Apply section, begin to apply knowledge by completing an Apply Project. You will choose between two project options: complete the project offline and return online to submit your project, engage in interactive peer learning discussions, and self-reflect. This extended course includes a group Zoom or individual call with your trainer.

The Learn section of the course includes the same content as Process and Art Creation.

There are several due date requirements. On the first Monday, the Introduction section is due by noon (CST), the online Learn portion is due by the end of the first week, Thursday noon (CST), and all remaining course requirements are due by the end of the course session.

This course is appropriate for all early care and education professionals.
