Managing Transtions In the Early Childhood Setting
Description
Children spend a great deal of time transitioning between activities during their day. Transitions can be stressful times for children and provoke challenging behaviors. Whole group transitions, which often include periods of waiting with nothing to do, can increase the likelihood of challenging behavior. This course focuses specifically on creating and managing smooth transitions in the early childhood setting. By the end of this course, participants will be able to discuss the importance of smooth transitions and outline effective strategies for smooth transitions. This course is appropriate for all early care and education professionals in center-based and family child care settings.
