Description

This course examines the challenges and considerations related to late-onset hearing loss in children, who are diagnosed after the crucial language development period, usually beyond the age of 2-3 years. It will address the significance of early hearing detection and intervention, the effects of delayed diagnosis, common signs and symptoms, and strategies for increasing awareness about late-onset hearing loss.

This course is appropriate for all early care and education professionals in center-based and family child care home settings.
