Getting Their Attention: Strategies to Screen and Support Busy, Active and Distractible Kids

Description

This training will help childcare providers learn about typical brain development that impacts attention, activity level, and impulsivity. We will help providers recognize what is typical and when to be concerned about attention hyperactivity (e.g. how to spot red flags and warning signs for ADHD). In addition, we will provide resources that can be given to families regarding how to pursue further evaluation, services and supports. Lastly, we will provide concrete strategies that providers can use to help manage inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity in the daycare setting.
