Beyond a Celebration: Exploring Culture in Practice

Description

Culture is learned from infancy and articulated by messages children receive from adults. When we actively teach children to value diversity, we are teaching respect, kindness, and curiosity about the world. This course will provide participants with the understanding of the complexity of culture. Further, it will engage participants in building effective relationships with diverse families and the techniques on how to communicate effectively.

This course is appropriate for all early care and education professionals in center-based and family child care settings.
