When children become overwhelmed, their behavior and bodies give us important clues about what they need. In this interactive session, you will explore how the brain and body work together to manage emotions. You’ll learn proactive strategies to prevent emotional upsets, recognize early signs that a child may need support, and help children calm when dysregulation occurs. You’ll also discover how reading children’s cues and responding thoughtfully can help them feel safe, supported, and ready to learn and play. This course is designed for all early childhood care and education professionals working with children in both family and center settings.
