Working with Children in a Mixed Age Program

This course introduces professionals to working with mixed age groups.

Children grow and learn naturally in mixed-age groups. However, it can be challenging to balance safety, active learning, and the individual needs of each child in mixed ages in one group. This course will guide participants to consider strategies and adaptations for meeting the needs of a mixed-age group of children, including planning learning activities that include children of mixed ages and mixed developmental levels.

This course is appropriate for professionals who own or work in family child care programs or work in center-based programs that have mixed aged groups.
