Reducing the Risk of SIDS and Using Safe Sleep Practices
Description
This course defines Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and Sudden Unexplained Infant Death (SUID). During this course, you will identify safe sleep practices, environmental risk factors, and how to communicate expectations with families of children in your care. This course will guide the development of safe sleep policies for early care facilities, and educators will gain the skills to create safe sleep environments for all.
Take this course and earn 2.5 clock hours towards the Kansas Department of Health and Environment's initial health and safety training requirements.
This course is appropriate for all early care and education professionals in center-based and family child care settings.
