PDG New Provider Cohort: Using Language and Literacy in Family Child Care Learning Community
Are you a newly licensed Family Child Care Provider that has received your initial license within the past 36 months AND would like to learn and connect with others? In this 3 Live Virtual Training Series, you will be able to connect with other new family child care providers. The Language and Literacy in Family Child Care Learning Community consists of 3 live virtual trainings during the month of September. These will be held on Thursday evenings, are not recorded or repeated and are a required part of the cohort. During this time, you will engage with a small group of other new professionals to explore techniques to bring rich language and literacy experiences to the children in your care. Discover the benefits of one-on-one conversations, group literacy experiences, and individual language and literacy activities. During this learning community, you will complete 8 hours of professional development through live virtual trainings. In addition to that, providers will also engage in discussions during two (2) group Zooms (optional) and three (3) individual check-ins (required) with your Training and Technical Assistance Specialist. When you have completed all requirements, you will receive support materials to help support your success with language and literacy experiences for children.
