This introductory course addresses three events that can have a significant impact on a child’s oral health. Topics include: what to expect during the teething process, how to properly wean infants and toddlers, the advantages and disadvantages of non-nutritive sucking, as well as ideas for discontinuation of oral habits such as thumb sucking and pacifier use.

This course is appropriate for professionals who care for infants and toddlers in both family child care and center-based programs.
