As a school age educator, you may struggle with engaging children in your program and space. This 5 week book study uses the book Great Afterschool Program and Spaces that WOW!, by Linda J. Armstrong and Christine A. Schmidt which will have you thinking about the three essential dimensions of temporal, interpersonal and physical aspects of your environment that is critical to the quality of your school age program.
In this blended book study, you will complete weekly offline chapter readings and engage in online conversations focused around the weekly readings. You will receive a copy of the book with your registration.
This Educator Series course is appropriate for early care and education professionals who work directly with school-age children, whether in center-based programs, family child care home programs, preschool programs, or school-age programs. Registration fee includes a copy of the book.
