Building Skills in Two Languages
This course introduces participants to strategies to support children who are English language learners or have two or more languages. Many children enter early care and education programs who are learning both English and their home language or begin care with only their home language. This diversity of languages increases the need for early care and education professionals who understand how to support all children. This course focuses on strategies for building vocabulary, supporting language through conversations, as well as strategies to support home language development.
This course is appropriate for all early care and education professionals.
