Chatting with Colleagues

Want smoother routines, better teamwork, and a more positive classroom vibe? This short, practical course focuses on improving how educators communicate so everyone feels supported, informed, and connected.

Participants will learn what Educator Talk is and why it matters in daily work and how to share information about children, routines, and activities clearly to avoid confusion and support teamwork. Educators will also practice simple strategies they can use right away, such as speaking clearly, paying attention to tone and body language, giving updates, and showing appreciation.

Through real-life examples, reflection, and hands-on scenarios, participants will build communication skills that help the classroom run more smoothly and create a positive experience for both children and colleagues.

By the end of the course, participants will feel more confident, connected, and ready to make every conversation count.

This course is appropriate for staff in center-based child care facilities or for family child care providers with staff or volunteers.
