Course Description

Participants will learn how to identify potential risk and protective factors in the children they care for on a daily basis and learn to use positive experiences and nurturing interactions to build relationships that promote resilience in young children. Throughout the course, participants will explore what they can do every day to strengthen resilience in children in their programs, and to recognize and promote the strengths families contribute, as well as building capacity for stronger communities.  Meets 3 of the 4 hours of the Annual Health and Safety Topic Requirement.
