Course Description
The first few years of a child’s life has a tremendous impact on their development and lifelong health. Recent research is uncovering how these early experiences can last into adulthood impacting life-long learning, health, and well-being. The course gives participants an introduction to how trauma and adverse childhood experiences, including homelessness impact young children as well as strategies for reducing the impact of ACEs. This course is a follow-up course to the Child Abuse and Neglect: Identification, Reporting, and Prevention course. Meets 3 of the 4 hours of the Annual Health and Safety Topic Requirement.
