Course Description

As an introductory course, this course will focus on how to manage food allergies in early care and education programs and safe food handling and serving practices in child care programs.  This course is adapted, with permission, from Fight BAC! Food Safety Education partnership's Core Four Practices, KDHE regulations, and Caring for our Children 3rd Edition best practice recommendations.  This course meets KDHE health and safety training requirements for prevention of and response to emergencies due to food and allergic reactions, found in K.A.R. 28-4-428a. (b)(2)(E).  Meets 2 of the 4 hours of the Annual Health and Safety Topic Requirement.
