Course Description

Keeping young children safe is the main priority of all early care and education programs.  Supervising children is essential to keeping children safe and requires more than watching children; it requires actively supervising them.  This course takes an in-depth look at the strategies of active supervision.  Along with keeping children safe through active supervision, maintaining safe outdoor environments allows children to explore freely.  This course provides participants with information and tools on national outdoor safety guidelines to assist in ensuring safe outdoor environments.  This course is a level 2 follow-up to Building and Physical Premises Safety.  Meets 2 of the 4 hours of the Annual Health and Safety Topic Requirement.
